- Worked at Arts Council England developing literature in multiple forms at strategic and grassroots levels 2010 – 2025.
- Festival appearances and interviews at Bangalore International Centre, Alliance University, Bangalore Literature Festival panels (digital and in person) in 2016, 2024.
- Book showcases include Cheltenham, Manchester, Lowdham and Oxford festivals, Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, the Groucho Club, libraries, museums and schools in the UK.

The Typing Man – dual language story with writing prompts in Turkish and English. Shortlisted for a Mslexia international award. Interactive book launch and creative writing sessions based on birth names for adults and children from 2013 and ongoing.

from Pakistan to Preston – fictional love story jointly written by a father and daughter about fibre pigmentation at Preston Guild, published in 2012.
An audio story reached the final 8 submissions to a BBC Radio 4 competition in 2010. This story was adapted and extended for print and published as Listen in the international Writing that Sings zine in 2025.

- Curation of 17-week interactive Colours, Community and Chemistry exhibition with partner Manchester Science Festival. People’s History Museum October 2014 – January 2015.
- Creative writing and visual object exploration in museums, libraries and educational settings, 2011 and ongoing.
- Experience as a publisher, publishing consultant, editor and writer working for Penguin, Hachette, Immersive Education, BBC Worldwide and others.
- Leading teams commissioning text, visual and audio content.
- Created Playdays magazines and books for the BBC with an initial print-run of 180k, regular weekly sales of 60k, and 15.8m units sold across 5 years.
- Worked with agents, publishers, writers and artists commissioning own-brand books for M&S with firm sale print-runs of 80k.
- Helped launch the careers of Nick Sharratt, Angie Sage and other creatives. Worked with Tony Bradman on comic strip stories and with TV production teams and performers to create illustrated poems featuring Makaton sign language.
