How can you get involved?
By choosing an object associated with someone or something we love, we can reconnect in hopeful and uplifting ways.

exObjects workshops last either 1.5 hours or half an hour.
This is what happens when you take part in an exObjects workshop:
1) You bring along an object. This object often won’t have a high financial value but it’s important to you because it connects you to the people, places and ideas you value.
2) As a group we start by giving everyone a chance to write briefly about their object in a factual way: what it looks like, why we have it, perhaps where it comes from.
3) There is an invitation to read out these factual descriptions, but no pressure to speak or share the writing.
4) We begin to write in a different way about our object, a creative and imaginative way that connects us to what we want to experience in our lives.
5) We finish off with an invitation to read out the new imaginative writing. There is no pressure to share this during the workshop.
Throughout, we listen carefully to what everyone has to say. We often find that our ideas change as we hear about other objects shared.

What you will take away from an exObjects workshop
Everyone should leave an exObjects sharing workshop feeling uplifted.
There may be a wish to carry on writing at home. You may want to join a workshop that builds your ideas and writing skills.
If your writing develops further, there’s chance for you to receive free editorial mentoring and to be published in the exObjects web magazine.
